The Barcelona team are firm favourites to progress to the semi-finals later in April but they will have to deal with a very promising Shakhtar Donetsk team that has taken the Ukrainian league by storm this season. They are twelve points clear at the top of the Ukrainian premier league and they have won their last five Champion’s League games. With Luiz Adriano and Eduardo Da Silva in the forward line they have lots of talent in front of goal and they will be a threat on the counter in Spain.

Barcelona have got the wind in their sails and it would take an act of God to stop Lionel Messi and David Villa finding the net at some point between them on Wednesday. The Catalan giants have swept all opposition aside in the Champion’s League having lost just once to EPL team Arsenal but overturning that defeat in the return to the Nou Camp. The fact that Arsenal proved that Barcelona can be beaten will have given the visitors some belief and if they can stick to a draw in Spain then the Ukrainian leg may prove an unlikely upset.
